Jacob Finds His Way Forward
When Love Treks advocate Abigail first met Jacob, he was a young man carrying a burden far too heavy for his age.
Born into instability in the red-light area, Jacob grew up without identity papers, without a father, and without the basic rights that most people take for granted. His mother had done her best to register his birth, but a simple mistake on his paperwork left him without a valid identity.
When Jacob returned to Zoreth, he was determined to build a better life.
Abigail saw beyond the challenges he faced. She saw his determination and potential. Abigail didn’t just walk alongside him. She fought for him in court to secure proper identification, ensuring he finally had the legal standing he’d been denied his entire life.
With support from Love Treks, Jacob enrolled in a training school, where he found belonging and purpose for the first time. The Love Treks community helped cover his tuition and living expenses, giving him the stability to focus on learning and healing.
After completing his schooling, Jacob graduated with confidence and a renewed sense of direction. He’s now working toward obtaining official citizenship and plans to begin a bachelor’s degree program.
His mother, who once lived in constant uncertainty, now owns her own small home and land, which is something she never dreamed possible.
